::)hi there ron and hazel here. we r new members with a new westie, so here,s what we know of her. her name is pippa, she,s nearly 3, we have had her 2 wks now, she is not a rescue dog but has had a raw deal so far as we can make out. 1st owner ..... she had 2 litters and was sold on. 2nd owner..... she had an infection and had to be spayed, surgically. so she was no good to them, hence 3rd owners us. we have aquired a very nervous little pippa, but she,s very affectionate and has a good temprement, and we love her dearly...........................................................thanks

Hi Ron and Hazel
First off, welcome to the Forum, glad to hear from you.
I think that Pippa IS a rescue dog - YOU did the rescuing! Well done, and she's lucky to have such loving new "parents". It's always disturbing to hear what some of the dogs have been through, but at least there's an end to it for Pippa.
I would love it if you could send in a photo of Pippa (as a .gif or .jpg image) to photos@westie-world.co.uk, in the body of the message, not as an attachment. Then we could all see what a great job you are doing with her.
By the way, next time you visit the Forum, don't forget to log in with your username and password, so that your avatar and any signature get included with your post. It also advances you up the scale of membership (from Westie Puppy to Westie Veteran) with each post you make when logged in.
You will thankfully find that Pippa becomes less and less nervous over the next few months, as she becomes more confident and trusting, and you will end up with a truly joyful addition to your family.
Best wishes and a Merry Christmas.
Lee.
